Graduate Diploma in Arts
Some programmes require students who have not done a major in a subject they wish to pursue at the postgraduate level to enrol in a GradDipArts. This will provide them with the necessary preparation to undertake more advanced study in a subject.
The GradDipArts is also a way of extending a student’s qualifications. All subjects in Humanities that offer a major also offer a GradDipArts: American Studies, Art History & Theory, Cinema Studies, Classics, Cultural Studies, English, History and Philosophy

Postgraduate Diploma in Art Curatorship
The Postgraduate Diploma in Art Curatorship is a one-year full-time programme of study comprising four courses including The Art Museum Past and Present, a special project in staging an exhibition, a gallery internship and one course from the Art History or Art Theory honours schedule.
This programme offers an alternative to an honours year which will appeal to students intending to work in museums, art galleries and commercial art sectors.

Postgraduate Diploma in Science in Philosophy
The Postgraduate Diploma in Science (Philosophy) is a one year programme for those who already hold or who qualify for a BSc degree. The PGDipSc is available to students who are unsure whether they want to undertake an entire MSc. or who have not made the grades that allow entry to the MSc. It allows students to receive a science postgraduate qualification in philosophy after one year of postgraduate study. A student who completes the PGDipSc with good grades can then go on to complete an MSc in philosophy by thesis only in a minimum of one further year of study.
