Forthcoming Publications

Books

Self-Knowledge: Entitlement, Privilege, and Authority.This is a project that is based on recent work on the topic of authoritative self-knowledge, some of which is in published form (see publications).  Expected completion date mid-2008.  Awarded a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Fellowship and was an Invited Scholar to the Rockefeller Foundation Study and Residence Centre to work on the manuscript of this book (see Visiting Appointments and Grants/Awards).

Mental Causation and Explanation in the Special Sciences (with Graham Macdonald).  This project is supported by a Royal Society of New Zealand Marsden Grant, 2005-2008.

Emergence. This project is the result of an international conference mounted (with Graham Macdonald) at Queen’s University Belfast in Spring 2007, funded by a Major Conference Grant from the Mind Association.  The co-edited volume is expected to be published by Oxford University Press through its Occasional Series.
