Background

Jane Cooper received her PhD in Philosophy from the University of Canterbury in 2006, having gained a BA with First Class Honours from Canterbury in 2002. Prior to this she worked voluntarily with an interfaith organisation for some years in India, Europe and Australasia. Since gaining her PhD, Jane has worked as a temporary lecturer and teaching assistant in Philosophy, and has offered philosophy courses to the general public through the university's Community Education programme. She is currently serving on a Health and Disabilities Regional Ethics Committee.
