Research Interests
Dr Cookson is a specialist in late eighteenth- and early nineteenth-century British history, on which he has published three books.
British (including Scottish and Irish) 18th and 19th century history; N.Z. religious history; war and society history; N.Z. local history (especially Christchurch and Canterbury).
