Postgraduate Study in English
If you want to advance to postgraduate study after finishing your BA (and you satisfy the prerequisites), the first step is to complete four 400-level papers. Passing these entitles you either to graduate BA (Honours) or, if you gain at least a B+ average grade, to proceed to write your MA thesis. We generally advise students to enrol for the BA (Honours) in the first instance. This can easily be converted to enrolment for the MA when you are sure you want to continue. In exceptional cases it is possible to proceed from BA Honours straight to a PhD.
