The Electronic Journal of Mithraic Studies (EJMS) is a revival of the Journal of Mithraic Studies edited by Dr. Richard Gordon. It is a peer-reviewed venue for scholarship on Roman Mithraism concerning all aspects of the mysteries of Mithras. Its scope includes related religions and cults such as Iranian and other cults in the Roman Empire. As of February 2006 the EJMS is hosted by the Deparment of Classics at the University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand with a mirror site at the University of Huelva, Spain. The EJMS is managed by the Chief Editor, Alison Griffith , with the assistance of an Editorial Board composed of internationally renowned scholars of Mithraism and Roman Religion. A more complete description is included in our formal baseline document (PDF, 29KB). The material published in the EJMS includes papers and archaeological reports. Accepted languages are English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, German, Italian, Dutch and Flemish. Submissions can be sent as email attachments to alison.griffith@canterbury.ac.nz in Word 97 or a compatible format and/or in pdf format with fonts embedded, and should conform to the parameters defined in the EJMS stylesheet (PDF, 112KB).
